Chiara Spigariol

Chiara Spigariol is an Italian Female drummer and composer. She studied classical percussion for five years and jazz drums for fourteen years. After attending Trinity Laban Conservatoire of music, and studying with teachers such as James Maddren, Asaf Sirkis, Patrick Davey and Gene Calderazzo, she is now working as a professional musician, playing in venues around and outside London like Ronnie’s Scott, The Spice of Life, Toulouse Lautrec, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Vortex Jazz Club and many more. She was awarded multiple scholarships from association as RPS Found, Berklee College of Music and Wolfson Instrument Fund and she played with renowned musicians such as the saxophonist Emma Rawicz, the Italian guitarist Gianluca Mosole, the pianist Deschanel Gordon and Andrea Vicary.

She performed in multiple events as the London Jazz Festival, Ipswich Jazz Festival and in 2022 she played for the queen just outside Buckingham Palace during the Platinum Jubilee. “She is now touring the UK and Italy with “Whispered Tales”, her project of original music based on tales, myths and theatrical pieces, told through a combination of jazz, folk and Latin music. The quartet includes Rebecca Edlund on vocals, Thomas Stephenson on piano and Mark McQuillan on bass.
